11. Gaussian Bridges : Modeling and Inference
Abstract : This thesis consists of a summary and five papers, dealing with the modeling of Gaussian bridges and membranes and inference for the α-Brownian bridge. In Paper I we study continuous Gaussian processes conditioned that certain functionals of their sample paths vanish. We deduce anticipative and non-anticipative representations for them. READ MORE

12. Mathematical modeling of neurovascular coupling
Abstract : The brain is critically dependent on the continuous supply of oxygen and glucose, which is carried and delivered by blood. When a brain region is activated, metabolism of these substrates increases rapidly, but is quickly offset by a substantially higher increase in blood flow to that region, resulting in a brief oversupply of these substrates. 13. Mathematical modeling in precision nutrition
Abstract : Precision nutrition (PN) aims to tailor diets for individuals or groups based on comprehensive data to improve prevention of diseases, such as cardiometabolic diseases. Predicting individual postprandial metabolic responses and identifying individuals with similar metabolic phenotypes (metabotypes) could guide tailored diet strategies. READ MORE

14. Homogenization of some new mathematical models in lubrication theory
Abstract : We consider mathematical modeling of thin film flow between two rough surfaces which are in relative motion. For example such flows take place in different kinds of bearings and gears when a lubricant is used to reduce friction and wear between the surfaces. READ MORE

15. NOx Adsorption in ZSM-5 Films - Experimental studies and mathematical modeling
Abstract : This work dealt with studies of NOx adsorption in films of ZSM-5. The study was interesting due to its significant contribution to develop a detailed understanding of NOx transport and adsorption in ZSM-5 which is of interest for catalyst or membrane applications. READ MORE
