1. Meso-Mechanical Modeling and Analysis of Adhesive Layers
Abstract : This thesis is concerned with the modeling, simulation and analysis of adhesive layers. By use of an in situ scanning electron microscopy study it is found that the adhesive studied in the present thesis has a very complex structure with two different compounds, a mineral and an epoxy/thermoplastic blend. 2. Mechanical Behaviour of Adhesive Layers : Methods to Extract Peel and Mixed Mode Properties
Abstract : Mechanical Behaviour of Adhesive Layers Methods to Extract Peel and Mixed Mode Properties TOBIAS ANDERSSON Department of Applied Mechanics Chalmers University of Technology ABSTRACT This thesis is concerned with methods to extract material properties of thin adhesive layers loaded in peel and in mixed mode. The first part of the thesis is devoted to an experimental method to determine the complete stress-elongation relation (or cohesive law) for an adhesive layer loaded in peel using the DCB-specimen. 3. Meso-Mechanical Modeling of Thin Adhesive Layers
Abstract : A thin adhesive layer is analyzed using a representative volume element (RVE). The RVE is comprised by, both continuum and interfacial finite elements. The interface elements allow for crack initiation and crack propagation. To obtain realistic results from the RVE simulation, an in situ scanning electron microscopy (SEM) study is performed. 4. Mechanics of Cross-Laminated Timber
Abstract : Increasing awareness of sustainable building materials has led to interest in enhancing the structural performance of engineered wood products. Wood is a sustainable, renewable material, and the increasing use of wood in construction contributes to its sustainability. READ MORE

5. The Role of Intermediation in Business Networks
Abstract : Intermediation is a central phenomenon in the business landscape, addressed in numerous settings and contexts, for example, financial intermediation, innovation intermediation and internationalization through intermediation. Commonly, intermediation concerns how firms become connected through an intermediary that bridges the gap between the provider and the user of goods and services. READ MORE
