  2. 22. Beyond the emotional work event : social sharing of emotion in organizations

    Author : Stefan Meisiek; Handelshögskolan i Stockholm; []
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : "Every day people experience hassles and joys at work. Consequently, research on emotion in organizational settings has tended to focus on these "as they occur" and "as they are managed". However, not only do people experience emotional events at work they may also talk about these events to their colleagues or intimates. READ MORE

  3. 23. Outsourcing of Organizational Routines : Knowledge, control, and learning aspects

  4. 24. Multiple-Bit Errors in Computer Systems

    Author : Rolf Johansson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; fault sim ulation; fault tolerance; single event upsets; error-correcting codes; multiple-bit errors; transient faults; fault modelling; physical fault injection;

    Abstract : This thesis discusses the types of transient faults caused by heavy-ion or a-particle radiation that manifest as multiple-bit errors and how information redundancy techniques can achieve fault tolerance with respect to some classes of multiple-bit errors. The first part of the thesis considers the fault modelling problem, beginning with the problem of how single event upsets (SEUs) originating from faults in register cells in microprocessors manifest as primary errors. 5. 25. Approximation and Compression Techniques to Enhance Performance of Graphics Processing Units

    Author : Alexandra Angerd; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Compression; Approximate Computing; Register File; Machine Learning; Floating-Point Precision; Microarchitecture; GPU;

    Abstract : A key challenge in modern computing systems is to access data fast enough to fully utilize the computing elements in the chip. In Graphics Processing Units (GPUs), the performance is often constrained by register file size, memory bandwidth, and the capacity of the main memory. READ MORE
