14. Anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction : studies on morbidity, function and health-related quality of life
Abstract : The aim of this thesis was to investigate the effects of graft choice, time between injury and reconstruction and injuries to the menisci on knee function and the health-related quality of life after an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction. In Study I, 153 patients were assessed at a mean 8 years after randomisation to an ACL reconstruction with a bone-patellar tendon-bone or four-strand semitendinosus tendon graft. READ MORE

15. Anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction : subjective knee function, graft failure and revision surgery
Abstract : An anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear is a severe knee injury, which leads to increased knee laxity and often functional instability. An ACL reconstruction (ACLR) is generally recommended to patients who desire to return to pivoting sports. Surgery is also recommended in cases of persistent instability during activities of daily living. READ MORE
