  1. 21. Resonant switching and vortex dynamics in spin-flop bi-layers

    Author : Sergiy Cherepov; Vladislav Korenivski; Thomas Silva; KTH; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; spin-dynamics; MRAM; vortex; switching; Condensed matter physics; Kondenserade materiens fysik; Magnetism; Magnetism; Mesoscopic physics; Mesoskopisk fysik;

    Abstract : This thesis is a study of the static and dynamic behavior of the magne-tization in spin-flop bi-layers, which consist of two soft ferromagnetic layerscoupled by dipolar forces through a thin nonmagnetic spacer. The focus ofthe work is three fold: collective spin dynamics in the anti-parallel groundstate; resonant switching in the presence of thermal agitation; and static anddynamic behavior of the system in the vortex-pair state, with a particularemphasis on the interlayer core-core interaction. 2. 22. Structure and Properties of Perovskite SrTiO3 and Na0.5K0.5NbO3 Thin Films Fabricated by rf Magnetron Sputtering

    Author : Xin Wang; Eric Cross; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : Functional oxide thin films are getting more and more attention due to their unique dielectric, piezoelectric, ferroelectric, magnetic, superconducting properties. This thesis focuses on the growth, compositional control, and structure-property relationships of SrTiO3 and Na0.5K0.5NbO3 thin films. READ MORE

  3. 23. Analytical techniques for quality assessment of separated and commingled recycled polymer fractions

    Author : Walker Camacho; KTH; []
    Keywords : recycling; hdpe; pp; blends; nylon 6.6; abs; water content; mae; gc-ms; mir; chemiluminiscence;

    Abstract : Different methods for quality assessment of separated andcommingled plastics from household and electronic waste havebeen developed. Especial attention has been given tospectroscopic methods since they are non-destructive andrequire little or no sample preparation at all. READ MORE
