  1. 16. Continuous monitoring of mineral processes with special focus on tumbling mills : a multivariate approach

    Author : Kent Tano; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Mineralteknik; Mineral Processing;

    Abstract : Increasing emphasis on productivity and quality control has provided an impetus to research on better methodologies for diagnosis, modelling, monitoring, control and optimisation of mineral process systems. One of the biggest challenges facing the research community is the processing of raw sensor data into meaningful information. READ MORE

  2. 17. Multivariate modelling and monitoring of mineral processes using partial least square regression

    Author : Kent Tano; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Mineralteknik; Mineral Processing;

    Abstract : .... READ MORE

  3. 18. Fine particulate by-products from mineral and metallurgical industries as filler in cement-based materials

    Author : Helena Moosberg-Bustnes; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Mineralteknik; Mineral Processing;

    Abstract : The mineral and metallurgical industries produces large amounts of by- products, these materials may be used as filler in concrete. However, before they can be used as filler in concrete their effect on concrete properties, such as strength, cement hydration and rheology has to be evaluated. READ MORE

  4. 19. Wet magnetic concentration for weakly magnetic mineral fines and ultrafines

    Author : Wang Yanmin; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Mineralteknik; Mineral Processing;

    Abstract : The first objective of the thesis was to reveal the characteristic magnetic behaviour of natural weakly magnetic minerals (such as hematite and chromite), and the size limits of the particles recoverable by the existing modem high intensity and high gradient magnetic separators. The second objective was to enhance the particle aggregation andlor the magnetic response for wet magnetic concentration of the ultrafines which escaped from the separators. READ MORE

  5. 20. Development of the mineralogical path for geometallurgical modeling of iron ores

    Author : Mehdi Parian; Antti Remes; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Mineralteknik; Mineral Processing;

    Abstract : The demands for more effective utilization of ore bodies and proper risk management in the mining industry have resulted in a new cross discipline called geometallurgy. Geometallurgy connects geological, mineral processing and subsequent downstream processing information together to provide a comprehensive model to be used in production planning and management.
