  1. 1. Embedding Theorems for Mixed Norm Spaces and Applications

    Author : Robert Algervik; Viktor Kolyada; Javier Soria; Karlstads universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; mixed norms; rearrangements; modulus of continuity; embeddings; Sobolev spaces; Besov spaces; Lorentz spaces; Mathematical analysis; Analys; Matematik; Mathematics;

    Abstract : This thesis is devoted to the study of mixed norm spaces that arise in connection with embeddings of Sobolev and Besov type spaces. We study different structural, integrability, and smoothness properties of functions satisfying certain mixed norm conditions. Conditions of this type are determined by the behaviour of linear sections of functions. READ MORE

  2. 2. Embedding Theorems for Mixed Norm Spaces and Applications

    Author : Robert Algervik; Viktor Kolyada; Lars-Erik Persson; Karlstads universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; mixed norms; embeddings; rearrangements; anisotropic fractional Sobolev spaces; anisotropic Besov spaces; mixade normer; inbäddningar; omarrangeringar; anisotropa fractionära Sobolev rum; anisotropa Besov rum; MATHEMATICS; MATEMATIK; Matematik; Mathematics;

    Abstract : This thesis is devoted to the study of mixed norm spaces that arise in connection with embeddings of Sobolev and Besov type spaces. The work in this direction originates in a paper due to Gagliardo (1958), and was continued by Fournier (1988) and by Kolyada (2005). We consider fully anisotropic mixed norm spaces. READ MORE

  3. 3. Source Language of Lexical Transfer in Multilingual Learners : A Mixed Methods Approach

    Author : Hannah Neuser; Maria Kuteeva; Philip Shaw; Camilla Bardel; Scott Jarvis; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; multilingualism; third language acquisition; lexical transfer; crosslinguistic influence; modal differences; proficiency; recency; exposure; psychotypology; L2 status; transferability; markedness; lexical organization; activation; lexical access; English; engelska;

    Abstract : The study reported in this thesis investigates the source language of lexical transfer in multilingual learners using a mixed methods approach. Previous research has shown that the source language of crosslinguistic influence can be related to factors such as proficiency, recency/exposure, psychotypology, the L2 status, and item-specific transferability. 4. 4. Going Green : A Study of Public Procurement Regulation

    Author : Lina Wedin Hansson; Rättssociologiska institutionen; []
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Norms; GreenPublic Procurement.; Legal Rationality; Sociology of Law; Regulation;

    Abstract : In Sociology of Law the discussions about regulation have been extensive and the issue of public procurement is gaining momentum as its true financial value and potential to impact markets are realised. This thesis aims to look at the regulation of green public procurement (GPP) by analysing findings from an in-depth case study in a Swedish context, using interviews with procurement officers as well as analyses of court cases. 5. 5. Real and complex operator norms

    Author : Natalia Sabourova; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Matematik; Mathematics;

    Abstract : Any bounded linear operator between real (quasi-)Banach spaces T : X ® Y has a natural bounded complex linear extension TC : XC ® YC defined by the formula TC(x+iy)=Tx+iTy for x,yÎX, where XC and YC are so called reasonable complexifications of X and Y, respectively. We are interested in the exact relation between the norms of the operators TC and T. READ MORE
