  1. 11. Doping and Density of States Engineering for Organic Thermoelectrics

    Author : Guangzheng Zuo; Martijn Kemerink; Ergang Wang; Mariano Campoy-Quiles; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : Thermoelectric materials can turn temperature differences directly into electricity. To use this to harvest e.g. waste heat with an efficiency that approaches the Carnot efficiency requires a figure of merit ZT larger than 1. READ MORE

  2. 12. Photochemistry of Phenyl Halides

    Author : Daniel Karlsson; Jan Davidsson; Michael Ashfold; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Chemistry; Photochemistry; Predissociation; Phenyl halides; Excited states; Substituent effects; Pump-probe spectroscopy; Molecular beam; Dynamics; Kemi; Chemistry; Kemi;

    Abstract : We have studied fundamental aspects of photo-induced dissociation kinetics and dynamics in several phenyl halides. By combining femtosecond pump-probe measurements with ab initio calculations we are able to account for several observations. READ MORE

  3. 13. How Does it Feel and How is it measured? Assessing Sitting Comfort and Postures of Rear-Seated Car Passengers in Stationary and Driven Scenarios Over Time

    Author : Melina Makris; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []

    Abstract : This licentiate thesis presents the results of an empirical study focused on examining the comparative effectiveness of short stationary studies versus long driving studies in evaluating sitting postures, belt fit, and sitting comfort in cars. The study employed a mixed-methods approach, in which 19 participants experienced two different test scenarios in the rear seat of a car: a stationary scenario within an indoor garage and a driven scenario on a predefined route in regular traffic, each lasting 45 minutes.
