21. Holonomy in Quantum Information Geometry
Abstract : In this thesis we provide a uniform treatment of the two most popular non-adiabatic geometric phases for dynamical systems of mixed quantum states, namely those of Uhlmann and of Sjöqvist et al. We develop a holonomy theory for the latter which we also relate to the already existing theory for the former. READ MORE

22. Cation intercalation and surface fractality in metal oxide based films
Abstract : New methods have been developed for determining the fractal dimension df of asurface from cyclic voltammograms with the sample of interest serving as the workingelectrode in an electrochemical cell. The methods have been verified by applying them tovoltammograms recorded on gold samples with a well-defined fractal dimension. READ MORE

23. Coupled electron-nuclear dynamics in inelastic X-ray scattering
Abstract : This Thesis is devoted to theoretical and experimental studies of resonant inelastic X-ray scattering (RIXS) of carbon monoxide and water molecules. Using state-of-the-art ab initio electronic structure calculations and a time-dependent wave packet formalism, we make a complete analysis of the experimental RIXS spectra of the two molecular systems. 24. Transformative Power Challenged : EU Membership Conditionality in the Western Balkans Revisited
Abstract : The EU is assumed to have a strong top-down transformative power over the states applying for membership. But despite intensive research on the EU membership conditionality, the transformative power of the EU in itself has been left curiously understudied. READ MORE

25. Laser-Based Combustion and Trace-element Analysis
Abstract : Laser spectroscopy has been utilised as a tool for combustion diagnostics and sensitive trace-element analysis. In the field of combustion analysis, a characterisation of a CH4/N2 - O2/N2 counter-flow diffusion flame has been performed using Laser-Induced Fluorescence (LIF). READ MORE
