  1. 1. Orsaker till fel i byggandet: en studie om felorsaker, felkonsekvenser, samt hinder för inlärning i byggprojekt

    Author : Per-Erik Josephson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; consequences of defects; causes of defects; organisational behaviour; organisational learning; building project; quality; temporary organisations; defects; costs of defects;

    Abstract : One means of increasing the effectiveness of building is minimisation of the numbers of de-fects and their consequences. In order to accomplish this, it is necessary to have knowledge of why defects occur, of their consequences, and of how to learn from errors. READ MORE

  2. 2. Improving Software Quality through Understanding and Early Estimations

    Author : Anders Wesslén; Institutionen för elektro- och informationsteknik; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Personal Software Process; process improvement; software development process; defects; faults; failures; test planning; early estimations; usage profile; usage model; statistical usage testing; Software quality; software reliability; Systems engineering; computer technology; Data- och systemvetenskap;

    Abstract : Software quality is an important factor of a large and complex software system. Hence, there is a need for measuring and controlling quality. Software quality has, however, many different f actors and involves implicit expectations of the behaviour of the software. READ MORE

  3. 3. Defects in E-PBF Ti-6Al-4V and their Effect on Fatigue Behaviour : Characteristics, Distribution and Impact on Life

    Author : Viktor Sandell; Marta-Lena Antti; Pia Åkerfeldt; Thomas Hansson; Hans Andersson; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Defects; Additive Manufacturing; Ti-6Al-4V; Probabilistic Modelling; Fatigue; Materialteknik; Engineering Materials;

    Abstract : Layer by layer manufacturing (additive manufacturing, AM) of metals is emerging as an alternative to conventional subtractive manufacturing with the goal of enabling near net-shape production of complex part geometries with reduced material waste and shorter lead times. Recently this field has experienced rapid growth through industrial adaptation but has simultaneously encountered challenges. READ MORE

  4. 4. Defects and Surfaces and their Impact on Fatigue Behaviour of Powder Bed Fused Ti-6Al-4V : Characteristics and Modelling

    Author : Viktor Sandell; Marta-Lena Antti; Pia Åkerfeldt; Thomas Hansson; Stefano Beretta; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Defects; Additive Manufacturing; Ti-6Al-4V; Probabilistic Modelling; Fatigue; Extreme Value Statistics; Materialteknik; Engineering Materials;

    Abstract : Additive manufacturing (AM), of metals is gaining popularity as an alternative to conventional manufacturing techniques such as casting and forging. Metal-AM allows for the production of complex part geometries with reduced material waste and shorter lead times. READ MORE

  5. 5. Sutures bridging nerve defects

    Author : Peter Scherman; Malmö Handkirurgi; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; orthopaedics; traumatology; Surgery; continuous longitudinal sutures; nerve repair; nerve regeneration; nerve defect; Kirurgi; ortopedi; traumatologi;

    Abstract : A new and simple method for the repair of nerve defects, in which sutures alone are used to guide regeneration between the nerve endings, was developed. Bilateral seven to 17 mm rat sciatic nerve defects were bridged by continuous longitudinal sutures with or without different modifications, by conventional autologous nerve grafts or direct repair under tension as controls.
