  1. 1. Decisional-Emotional Support System for a Synthetic Agent : Influence of Emotions in Decision-Making Toward the Participation of Automata in Society

    Author : Javier Francisco Guerrero Razuri; Aron Larsson; David Sundgren; Rahim Rahmani; Alessandro Villa; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Affective Computing; Machine Learning; Adversarial Risk Analysis; Broaden and Build Theory; Facial Expression Recognition; Speech Emotion Recognition; Detection of Emotional Information; Emotional self-regulation; Computer and Systems Sciences; data- och systemvetenskap;

    Abstract : Emotion influences our actions, and this means that emotion has subjective decision value. Emotions, properly interpreted and understood, of those affected by decisions provide feedback to actions and, as such, serve as a basis for decisions. READ MORE

  2. 2. MaltParser -- An Architecture for Inductive Labeled Dependency Parsing

    Author : Johan Hall; Joakim Nivre; Welf Löwe; Martin Volk; Växjö universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Dependency Parsing; Support Vector Machines; Machine Learning; Language technology; Språkteknologi; Computer and Information Sciences Computer Science; Data- och informationsvetenskap;

    Abstract : This licentiate thesis presents a software architecture for inductive labeled dependency parsing of unrestricted natural language text, which achieves a strict modularization of parsing algorithm, feature model and learning method such that these parameters can be varied independently. The architecture is based on the theoretical framework of inductive dependency parsing by Nivre \citeyear{nivre06c} and has been realized in MaltParser, a system that supports several parsing algorithms and learning methods, for which complex feature models can be defined in a special description language. 3. 3. Information in use : Aspects of information quality in workflows

    Author : Patrik Brandt; Blekinge Institute of Technology; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Digital services; information; workflow; information quality; SOA; Computer Science;

    Abstract : This thesis is founded on the global growth of the service sector and its significance for society as a whole and for the individual human being. In the last decade, technology has changed the way services are created, developed and delivered in remarkable ways. READ MORE

  4. 4. Design of Business Process Model Repositories : Requirements, Semantic Annotation Model and Relationship Meta-model

    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; business process; business process model; business process repository; semantic annotation; Computer and Systems Sciences; data- och systemvetenskap;

    Abstract : Business process management is fast becoming one of the most important approaches for designing contemporary organizations and information systems. A critical component of business process management is business process modelling. READ MORE

  5. 5. !secure(system) <=?=> !safe(system) : On Security and Safety of Industrial Software Systems

    Author : Marcus Lindner; Per Lindgren; Valeriy Vyatkin; Knut Åkesson; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; embedded systems; hard real-time; concurrency; model of computation; safety-critical; safety; security; industrial automation; RTFM; real-time for the masses; Embedded Systems; Inbyggda system;

    Abstract : The focus of our research work is on readily accessible, embedded, real-time development with concurrency support. To this end, we develop the Real-Time For the Masses (RTFM) programming framework with a model of computation based on tasks and resources and that stipulates a timing semantics. READ MORE
