  1. 1. Leukocyte sequestration associated with inflammation : mechanisms and modulations

    Author : Kristina Nyhlén; Åke Ryrfeldt; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICINE; MEDICIN;

    Abstract : Inflammationsreaktionen är kroppens första försvar mot främmande partiklar t ex bakterier. Det är en komplex reaktion som bl a karakteriseras av att vita blodkroppar dras till det inflammerade området och att vätskao i blodet lättare tar sig igenom kärlväggen till vävnaden dvs det svullnar. 2. 2. Modulations in B8-type Intermetallics

    Author : Margareta Elding-Pontén; Centrum för analys och syntes; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Electron diffraction; X-ray diffraction; Superspace group; Edshammar polyhedron; Mn-Sn; Cu-In; B8-type; Ni2In; NiAs; Modulation; Superstructure; Inorganic chemistry; Oorganisk kemi;

    Abstract : The B8-type regions of the Mn-Sn and Cu-In systems have been investigated by means of electron and X-ray diffraction. The importance of the combination of these techniques in the study of B8-type phases is pointed out. In addition to the B8-type phases an alloy with a quasicrystal approximant structure has been studied. READ MORE

  3. 3. Modulations in Intermetallic Families of Compounds

    Author : Hanna Lind; Sven Lidin; Gervais Chapuis; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; intermetallic; incommensurate structure; single crystal X-ray diffraction; Inorganic chemistry; Oorganisk kemi;

    Abstract : This thesis is based on a study of five distinct intermetallic systems with the aim of expanding the general knowledge of aperiodically modulated crystal structures. Families of compounds that contain a variety of superstructures together with incommensurately modulated structures have been investigated mainly by means of single crystal X-ray diffraction and higher dimensional structure models. 4. 4. Pharmacological and environmental modulations of the rat glutamatergic system

    Author : Josefine Andin; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICINE; MEDICIN;

    Abstract : Glutamate is the principal excitatory neurotransmitter in the central nervous system and it is implicated in neural transmission, learning, memory processes and neuronal plasticity. In the glutamatergic synapse two main components are present; the glutamate receptors and the glutamate transporters. READ MORE

  5. 5. Interface-Assisted Perovskite Modulations for High-Performance Light-Emitting Diodes

    Author : Chaoyang Kuang; Feng Gao; Sai Bai; Niclas Solin; Olle Inganäs; Mingjian Yuan; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Metal halide perovskite; Light-emitting diodes; Deprotonation; Interfacial reaction; Additive; Molecular interactions; Metall-halid-perovskiter; Lysdioder; Deprotonering; Gränsytegenererade reaktion; Tillsatsämnen; Molekylära interaktioner;

    Abstract : Metal halide perovskites have emerged as a class of promising materials for a wide range of optoelectronic devices. Compared with traditional inorganic and organic semiconductors, perovskite materials can be easily processed via solution-based techniques at low temperatures and exhibit high photo-luminescence efficiency, outstanding colour purity, and superior charge transport properties, showing great promise for cost-effective and high-performance light-emitting diodes (LEDs).
