1. Cohomology of arrangements and moduli spaces
Abstract : This thesis mainly concerns the cohomology of the moduli spaces ℳ3[2] and ℳ3,1[2] of genus 3 curves with level 2 structure without respectively with a marked point and some of their natural subspaces. A genus 3 curve which is not hyperelliptic can be realized as a plane quartic and the moduli spaces ?[2] and ?1[2] of plane quartics without respectively with a marked point are given special attention. 2. Moduli spaces of zero-dimensional geometric objects
Abstract : The topic of this thesis is the study of moduli spaces of zero-dimensional geometricobjects. The thesis consists of three articles each focusing on a particular moduli space. The first article concerns the Hilbert scheme Hilb(X). This moduli space parametrizesclosed subschemes of a fixed ambient scheme X. READ MORE

3. Stable invariants of some topological moduli spaces
Abstract : This thesis consists of three papers, treating stability phenomena in various automorphism groups in topology. In Papers I and III, we study the group (co)homology of certain mapping class groups of surfaces and graphs, or their respective Torelli subgroups, while the subject of Paper II is homotopy automorphisms of higher-dimensional spaces and manifolds. 4. Sobolev-Type Spaces : Properties of Newtonian Functions Based on Quasi-Banach Function Lattices in Metric Spaces
Abstract : This thesis consists of four papers and focuses on function spaces related to first-order analysis in abstract metric measure spaces. The classical (i.e., Sobolev) theory in Euclidean spaces makes use of summability of distributional gradients, whose definition depends on the linear structure of Rn. READ MORE

5. Intersections on moduli spaces of curves
Abstract : We present a new approach to perform calculations with the certain standard classes in cohomology of the moduli spaces of curves. It is based on an important lemma of Ionel relating the intersection theoriy of the moduli space of curves and that of the space of admissible coverings. READ MORE
