  1. 1. In-situ activated hydrogen evolution from pH-neutral electrolytes

    Author : John Gustavsson; Ann Cornell; Olof Forsén; KTH; []
    Keywords : molybdate; trivalent cations; electrolysis; hypochlorite reduction; films; electrolysis; chlorate process; molybdat; trivalenta katjoner; elektrolys; hypokloritreduktion; filmer; kloratprocessen; SRA - Energy; SRA - Energi;

    Abstract : The goal of this work was to better understand how molybdate and trivalent cations can be used as additives to pH neutral electrolytes to activate the Hydrogen Evolution Reaction (HER). Special emphasis was laid on the chlorate process and therefore also to some of the other effects that the additives may have in that particular process. READ MORE

  2. 2. Characterization of Aqueous Peroxomolybdates with Catalytic Applicability

    Author : Fabian Taube; Lage Pettersson; Kip Powell; Umeå universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Chemistry; Molybdate; peroxomolybdate; peroxomolybdophosphate; equilibrium; speciation; formation constants; potentiometry; EXAFS; dynamic NMR; Kemi; Chemistry; Kemi; analytisk kemi; Analytical Chemistry;

    Abstract : Abstract This thesis is a summary of five papers, containing equilibrium and structure studies of aqueous molybdate and peroxomolybdate species. Some of the peroxomolybdate species have also been studied in terms of their dynamic and catalytic properties. READ MORE

  3. 3. Equilibrium and structure studies of aqueous vanadophosphates and molybdovanadophosphates

  4. 4. Selective oxidation over mixed oxide catalysts

    Author : Robert Häggblad; Avdelningen för kemiteknik; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; propane; catalysis; Selective oxidation; transition metal oxides; vanadium; molybdenum; methanol oxidation; ammoxidation; propene; acrylonitrile; formaldehyde;

    Abstract : Since the metal oxide catalysts used in many chemical processes show very high selectivity for the products aimed at, both today and in the future, they play a key role in the environmentally and economically sustainable production of chemical intermediates. Two processes of this sort have been studied in the thesis: the ammoxidation of propane and propene over a Mo-V-Nb-Te-oxide catalyst and the selective oxidation of methanol over vanadium-based catalysts. 5. 5. Applications of the DGT technique for measurements of anions and cations in natural waters

    Author : Helene Österlund; Per Andersson; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Applied Geology; Tillämpad geologi;

    Abstract : Since the toxicity and mobility of trace metals are related to the metals' speciation, robust methods for trace metal speciation analysis are of great interest. During the last 15 years, hundreds of scientific articles have been published on the development and applications of the diffusive gradients in thin films (DGT) passive sampling technique. READ MORE
