  1. 1. Model Order Reduction with Rational Krylov Methods

    University dissertation from Stockholm : KTH

    Author : K. Henrik A. Olsson; Axel Ruhe; Volker Mehrmann; [2005]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Model order reduction; dual rational Arnoldi; rational Krylov; moment matching; eigenvalue computation; stability analysis; heat exchanger model; MATHEMATICS Applied mathematics Numerical analysis; MATEMATIK Tillämpad matematik Numerisk analys;

    Abstract : Rational Krylov methods for model order reduction are studied. A dual rational Arnoldi method for model order reduction and a rational Krylov method for model order reduction and eigenvalue computation have been implemented. It is shown how to deflate redundant or unwanted vectors and how to obtain moment matching. READ MORE

  2. 2. A convex optimization approach to complexity constrained analytic interpolation with applications to ARMA estimation and robust control

    University dissertation from Stockholm : KTH

    Author : Anders Blomqvist; Anders Lindquist; Giorgio Picci; [2005]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Mathematical optimization; systems theory; analytic interpolation; moment matching; Nevanlinna-Pick interpolation; spectral estimation; convex optimization; Optimeringslära; systemteori; MATHEMATICS Applied mathematics Optimization; systems theory; MATEMATIK Tillämpad matematik Optimeringslära; systemteori;

    Abstract : Analytical interpolation theory has several applications in systems and control. In particular, solutions of low degree, or more generally of low complexity, are of special interest since they allow for synthesis of simpler systems. READ MORE

  3. 3. Multi-Timescale Modelling of Ethernet Traffic

    University dissertation from Karlskrona : Blekinge Institute of Technology

    Author : Patrik Carlsson; ; [2003]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Ethernet Traffic Model; Multi-Timescale; Multifractal; Bit Rate; Moments; Fluid Flow Analysis; Model Matching; Measurement;

    Abstract : Ethernet is one of the most common link layer technologies, used in local area networks, wireless networks and wide area networks. There is however a lack of traffic models for Ethernet that is usable in performance analysis. In this thesis we describe an Ethernet traffic model. READ MORE

  4. 4. Radiation and Scattering from Conformal Array Antennas

    University dissertation from Stockholm : Alfvénlaboratoriet

    Author : Björn Thors; [2003]
    Keywords : conformal antennas; antenna arrays; antenna radiation patterns; radar cross sections; electromagnetic scattering; UTD; moment methods; high frequency method; hybrid method; mutual coupling;

    Abstract : This thesis deals with radiation and scattering fromconformal array antennas. A hybrid technique between the Methodof Moments (MoM) and different asymptotic methods is used forthe analysis, combining the accuracy of the MoM and theefficiency of the asymptotic methods. READ MORE

  5. 5. Embedded Element Patterns in Combination with Circuit Simulations for Multi-Port Antenna Analysis

    University dissertation from Stockholm : Alfvénlaboratoriet

    Author : Kristian Karlsson; [2009]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; antenna efficiency; Greens function; multi-port antenna; impedance matching; reverberation chamber; correlation; antenna arrays; Embedded element pattern; optimization; antenna diversity;

    Abstract : This thesis is a result from work on two different subjects, electromagnetic simulations of reverberation chambers and a methodology for the analysis of multi-port antennas. The subjects can be linked together by their contribution to knowledge in electromagnetic simulations and characterization of antennas. READ MORE
