2. Image-based multi-omics data integration : Exploring whole-body PET/MRI, -omics data and body composition
Abstract : Advanced body composition analysis with whole-body imaging could uncover novel associations between regional tissue composition and metabolic disease. Imiomics is an automated image analysis framework that enables large-scale integration of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) data and orthogonal technologies such as metabolomics and genomics for the detailed study of body composition. 3. From pattern to process : Studies on limestone grassland, with emphasis on the bryophyte-lichen layer and its effects on vascular plants
Abstract : Patterns in space and time at different scales in the bryophyte-lichen layer, aud multi-species spatial patterns of bryophytes, lichens and vascular plants were studied in Avenetum limestone grassland on the Great Alvar of the Baltic Island of Öland, south-eastem Sweden.Spatiotemporal patterns of bryophytes and Iichens in grazed and ungrazed alvar grassland demonstrated that dominant species forming large patches were relatively stable in time, whereas less frequent species forming small patches were more mobile. 4. Small-scale pattern and mobility of plant species in Alvar grassland
Abstract : Studies of the small-scale pattern, mobility of plant species and the effects of cattle dung deposition and decomposition on the soil seed banks and the above-ground vegetation were carried out in an alvar limestone grassland in Gettlinge, on the Baltic island of Öland, Sweden.A new method for pattern detection using transect data Patch Size Frequency Analysis (PASFRAN), was developed. 5. Methods and techniques for precise and accurate in-duct aero-acoustic measurements : Application to the area expansion
Abstract : During the design and commissioning of combustion equipment, combustion associated instabilities are commonly encountered. These thermo-acoustic instabilities can cause undesirable noise, vibrations, local thermal and mechanical stresses in the combustor and are prominent in lean combustion. READ MORE
