  1. 1. Exploiting Prior Information in Parametric Estimation Problems for Multi-Channel Signal Processing Applications

    Author : Petter Wirfält; Magnus Jansson; Abdelhak Zoubir; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Array signal processing; covariance matrix; damped sinusoids; direction of arrival estimation; frequency estimation; Kronecker; NQR; NMR; parameter estimation; persymmetric; signal processing algorithms; structured covariance estimation; Toeplitz; Array; signalbehandling; kovariansmatris; dämpad sinus; riktningbestämning; frekvensskattning; Kronecker; NQR; NMR; parameterestimering; persymmetrisk; algoritm; strukturerad kovariansmatris; Toeplitz;

    Abstract : This thesis addresses a number of problems all related to parameter estimation in sensor array processing. The unifying theme is that some of these parameters are known before the measurements are acquired. READ MORE

  2. 2. Digitally Enhanced Continuous-Time Sigma-Delta Analogue-to-Digital Converters

    Author : Julian Garcia; Ana Rusu; Maurits Ortmanns; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; analogue-to-digital conversion; sigma-delta modulation; digital enhancement; continuous-time; multi-channel applications;

    Abstract : The continuous downscaling of CMOS technology presents advantagesand difficulties for IC design. While it allows faster, denser and more energy efficient digital circuits, it also imposes several challenges which limit the performance of analogue circuits. READ MORE

  3. 3. Space-Time Processing Applications for Wireless Communications

    Author : Tommy Hult; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Space-Time Processing; Polarization; MIMO; Diversity; HAP;

    Abstract : Wireless mobile communication networks are rapidly growing at an incredible rate around the world and a number of improved and emerging technologies are seen to be critical to the improved economics and performance of these networks. The technical revolution and continuing growth of mobile radio communication systems has been made possible by extraordinary advances in the related fields of digital computing, high-speed circuit technology, the Internet and, of course, digital signal processing. 4. 4. Textile electrodes for ECG measurements in distributed care, performance and applications

    Author : Linda Rattfält; Per Ask; Peter Hult; Maria Lindén; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Abstract : The aim of this thesis work has been to explore textile electrodes for electrocardiographic (ECG) measurements both in terms of their electrode properties and possibility to further improve their robustness to noise with signal processing techniques. Previous research within the field has shown that acquisition of ECG is possible with textile electrodes, but little attention has been focused on how they function and especially if movements are included in the measurement protocol. 5. 5. Enhancing P2P Systems over Wireless Mesh Networks

    Author : Marcel Cavalcanti de Castro; Andreas Kassler; Edmundo Monteiro; Karlstads universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; peer-to-peer overlay; wireless mesh networks; peer selection; channel assignment; routing; optimization; adjacent channel interference; channel bandwidth adaptation; Datavetenskap; Computer Science;

    Abstract : Due to its ability to deliver scalable and fault-tolerant solutions, applications based on the peer-to-peer (P2P) paradigm are used by millions of users on the internet. Recently, wireless mesh networks (WMNs) have attracted a lot of interest from both academia and industry, because of their potential to provide flexible and alternative broadband wireless internet connectivity.
