  1. 21. Statistical Methods for Designed Experiments and Spectroscopic Data

    Author : Tobias Adolfsson; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; saturated orthogonal designs; multiple inference; step-down testing; partial least squares; principal components regression; multiple inference;

    Abstract : This thesis consists of six papers related to saturated orthogonal designs, spectroscopic and high dimension data analysis. The first two papers deals with testing procedures for saturated orthogonal designs. Both the presented methods controls the multiple level of significance. READ MORE

  2. 22. Optimal Segmentation of Linear Regression Parameters

    Author : Fredrik Gustafsson; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Abstract : The problem of detecting multiple changes in the dynamical properties of a measured signal, which we call segmentation, is studied. A Bayesian model-based approach is used. The signal is supposed to be described by a linear regression. The posterior distribution for the change instants is first derived for a quite general signal model. READ MORE

  3. 23. Modeling and Segmentation using Multiple Models

    Author : Predrag Pucar; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Abstract : An established area within the system identification field is identification of linear models. In practice, sometimes the performance of such models is not satisfactory and non-linear models are needed. This thesis is devoted to modeling and identification of systems by means of multiple models. READ MORE

  4. 24. On genetics and transcriptomics of multiple sclerosis

    Author : Boel Brynedal; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic inflammatory disease of the central nervous system, where both genetic and environmental factors influence one individual's risk of developing the disease. This thesis is focused on genetic and transcriptomic aspects of MS. READ MORE

  5. 25. Working life in people with multiple sclerosis

    Author : Mia Forslin; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : Background: Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic disease in the central nervous system, usually with an onset in early adulthood with many years of working age ahead. The employment rate in people with MS (PwMS) is low and associated with low quality of life (QoL). READ MORE
