  1. 16. Random Multigraphs : Complexity Measures, Probability Models and Statistical Inference

    Author : Termeh Shafie; Ove Frank; Krzysztof Nowicki; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; multigraph; vertex labeled graph; edge labeled graph; isomorphism; edge multiplicity; simplicity and complexity; entropy; joint information; information divergence; goodness-of-fit; Statistics; statistik;

    Abstract : This thesis is concerned with multigraphs and their complexity which is defined and quantified by the distribution of edge multiplicities. Two random multigraph models are considered.  The first model is random stub matching (RSM) where the edges are formed by randomly coupling pairs of stubs according to a fixed stub multiplicity sequence. 2. 17. On solution multiplicity and convergence rate in extremum seeking control : With applications to the CANON process

    Author : Olle Trollberg; Elling Jacobsen; Torsten Wik; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; extremum seeking control; Electrical Engineering; Elektro- och systemteknik;

    Abstract : Extremum seeking control (ESC) is a classical adaptive control method aimed at locating and tracking optimal operating conditions in complex non-linear plants. Early results on ESC were restricted to plants that could bedescribed by Wiener or Hammerstein models. READ MORE

  3. 18. Nuclear fission and fusion in a random-walk model

    Author : Martin Albertsson; Matematisk fysik; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; fission; Brownian shape motion; energy partition; neutron multiplicity; kinetic energy; fusion; superheavy elements; quasifission; Fysicumarkivet A:2021:Albertsson;

    Abstract : This dissertation deals with theoretical descriptions of nuclear fission and synthesis of superheavy elements via fusion. The associated shape evolutions are treated using a random-walk approach where both the potential energy and the nuclear level density influence the dynamics. READ MORE

  4. 19. (Not) Representing Cycling : Exploring the subjugation and multiplicity of cycling

    Author : Daniel Valentini; Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet; Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet; []
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : Cycling is often represented as a symbol of sustainable mobility change. This thesis builds on the argument that even in acclaimed cycling cities possibilities for cycling to become part of transformative change are stifled. READ MORE
