  1. 1. Group-Theoretical Structure in Multispectral Color and Image Databases

    Author : Thanh Hai Bui; Reiner Lenz; Björn Kruse; Jinhui Chao; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; group theory; PCA Principal Component Analysis ; CBIR; Content-based Image Retrieval ; filter; color; image; multispectral; database; Signal processing; Signalbehandling;

    Abstract : Many applications lead to signals with nonnegative function values. Understanding the structure of the spaces of nonnegative signals is therefore of interest in many different areas. Hence, constructing effective representation spaces with suitable metrics and natural transformations is an important research topic. READ MORE

  2. 2. Colorimetric and Multispectral Image Acquisition

    Author : Daniel Nyström; Björn Kruse; Carl-Magnus Fahlcrantz; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Color imaging; Multispectral imaging; Spectral reconstruction; Device characterization; Image analysis; Bildanalys;

    Abstract : The trichromatic principle of representing color has for a long time been dominating in color imaging. The reason is the trichromatic nature of human color vision, but as the characteristics of typical color imaging devices are different from those of human eyes, there is a need to go beyond the trichromatic approach. 3. 3. High Resolution Analysis of Halftone Prints : A Colorimetric and Multispectral Study

    Author : Daniel Nyström; Björn Kruse; Markku Hauta- Kasari; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Color imaging; Multispectral imaging; Halftone print; Dot gain; Image analysis; Bildanalys;

    Abstract : To reproduce color images in print, the continuous tone image is first transformed into a binary halftone image, producing various colors by discrete dots with varying area coverage. In halftone prints on paper, physical and optical dot gains generally occur, making the print look darker than expected, and making the modeling of halftone color reproduction a challenge. READ MORE

  4. 4. Multispectral imaging of hemoglobin oxygen saturation in skin microcirculation

    Author : Maria Ewerlöf; Göran Salerud; Tomas Strömberg; Marcus Larsson; Maurice C. G. Aalders; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Multispectral imaging; hemoglobin oxygen saturation; microcirculation;

    Abstract : The ability to measure microcirculatory parameters such as hemoglobin oxygen saturation is important since it mirrors the microcirculatory state of the body. The microcirculation delivers oxygen and nutrients to the cells of the body and, if impaired, may be a sign of circulatory failure. READ MORE

  5. 5. Frequency Recognition Algorithm for Multiple Exposures : Snapshot imaging using coded light

    Author : Karolina Dorozynska; Förbränningsfysik; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Snapshot imaging; structured illumination; structured light; multispectral; fluorescence; frequency encoding; image multiplexing; lock-in detection; Fysicumarkivet A:2020:Dorozynska;

    Abstract : The central challenge tackled in this thesis is the development of an optical imaging approach capable of multidimensional image capture of dynamic samples. Many conventional optical imaging approaches, which can obtain dimensional information such as spectral, polarisation, or volumetric, to name a few, about samples either employ sequential image capture or parallelised detector arrangements.
