  1. 1. Experimenting for change? : The politics of accomplishing environmental governance through smart energy pilot projects

    Author : Fredrik Envall; Harald Rohracher; Dick Magnusson; Josefin Wangel; Matthew Cashmore; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; environmental governance; political rationality; experiment; smart energy; socio-technical perspective; knowledge politics; power relations; infrastructure.; miljöstyrning; politisk rationalitet; experiment; smarta nät; socio-tekniskt perspektiv; kunskapspolitik; maktrelationer; infrastruktur.;

    Abstract : This thesis investigates how smart energy experimentation arranges environmental governance in Sweden, focusing on the politics of such processes, against the background of an escalating environmental and climate crisis that necessitates urgent energy transformation. Empirically the thesis includes case studies of pilot projects in Stockholm, Malmö, Västerås, and on Gotland, and analysis of the policy landscape, mainly through text analysis and interviews. 2. 2. Fault location in resonant earthed medium voltage distribution systems

    Author : Md Zakaria Habib; Nathaniel Taylor; Mohamed F. Abdelfattah; Matti Lehtonen; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Electrical distribution; Distribution network; Reliability; SAIDI; Fault location; FL; Fault passage indicator; FPI; Compensated neutral; Resonant earthing; Resonant grounding; Petersen coil; Arc suppression coil.; Distributionsnät; Tillförlitlighet; Fellokalisering; FL; Felpassageindikation; FPI; Kompenserat nät; Spoljordat nät; Petersenspole.; Electrical Engineering; Elektro- och systemteknik;

    Abstract : A major challenge in electric distribution systems is to increase the reliability of the electricity supply in an economical way. At the final medium-voltage level in the system, such as 10 kV or 20 kV, a single feeder may supply tens of medium/low-voltage transformers and hundreds of customers, with many branches of lines and cables where faults can occur. Abstract : Background: Abdominal wall hernia is a common surgically treated condition. Patients with primary umbilical hernia are operated with suture or mesh repair, but recurrence and complication rates have been debated.Larger abdominal wall hernias need implantation of reinforcing material for repair. Synthetic implants are dominating. READ MORE

    Abstract : Water is essential for human well-being and healthy ecosystems, but population growth and changes in climate and land-use are putting increased stress on water resources in many regions. To ensure water security, knowledge about the spatiotemporal distribution of these resources is of great importance. READ MORE
