    Abstract : The aim of this work is to generate detailed and simplified kinetic models for the oxidation of the Primary Reference Fuels (PRF) n-heptane, iso-octane and their mixtures, with low numbers of species and reactions.     Abstract : Popular Abstract in Swedish Beräkningar med detaljerade kemiska reaktionssytem, med uppemot 1500 kemiska reaktioner, har utförts på HCCI-motorer, en experimentell motortyp som bygger på homogen kompressionsantändning. Resultaten jämfördes med experimentella mätningar och visade att beräkningar med god noggrannhet kan utföras, men att antändingsprocessen är mycket känslig för även små variationer i temperatur, bränsleblandning, och eventuella felaktigheter i reaktionsmekanismen.     Abstract : Autoignition in SI engines is an abnormal combustion mode and may lead to engine knock which is an undesired phenomenon in SI engines. It may cause damage and it is a source of noise in engines. Knock limits the compression ratio of the engine and a low compression ratio means low fuel conversion efficiency of the engine. READ MORE

    Abstract : Abstract An N-Heptane mechanism and a Methane/Propane mechanism have been reduced by an Automatic Reduction Tool (ART) and simulated with two different solver combinations, which solve the set of ordinary differential equations governing the time evolution of the species simultaneously with solving algebraic equations for species that can be considered to be in quasi steady state.
