  1. 1. High Temperature Superconducting and Tunable Ferroelectric Microwave Devices

    Author : Erik F. Carlsson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; varactors; tunable microwave circuits; conformal mapping; cryogenic probe station; ferroelectrics; high temperature superconductors; microwave circuits; narrow-band filters; phase-shifter;

    Abstract : This thesis addresses some applications of High Temperature Superconductors (HTS) and ferroelectric materials in tunable microwave devices and circuits. The work is divided into three main areas: i) modeling of multilayered structures including ferroelectric layers, ii) realization and characterization of tunable coplanar waveguides (CPW), capacitors and resonators based on ferroelectrics, and iii) an investigation of microstrip HTS K-band filters. 3. 3. Gap Waveguide: Low Loss Microwave Passive Components and MMIC Packaging Technique for High Frequency Applications

    Author : Ashraf Uz Zaman; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Quasi TEM; Slot Array; PMC; Gap waveguide; Narrow-band Filter;

    Abstract : The heavy congestion at the existing radio frequency spectrum allocated for the today’s wireless communications motivates and accelerates the research work at mmWave bands or even higher frequency range where more spectrum space is available for massive data rate delivery. The inclination of modern wireless system research and development is towards small size, reliable, high-performance and high-yield microwave multifunctional products. READ MORE

  4. 4. Tuneable Recursive Active Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit Filters

    Author : Robert Malmqvist; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Abstract : In this thesis tuneable recursive active monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) filters are studied theoretically and experimentally. A possible future application for such filters is, for example, the microwave receivers of adaptive radar antennas. READ MORE

  5. 5. Synthesis and Realization of High-Speed Recursive Digital Filters

    Author : Håkan Johansson; Lars Wanhammar; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Abstract : Recursive digital filters restrict the sample frequency at which an implementation of the filters can operate. This bound is determined by the ratio between the number of delay elements and the operation latency in the recursive loops of the filters. READ MORE
