6. Mineralogical, chemical and textural properties of the Malmberget iron deposit : a process mineralogically characterisation
Abstract : This thesis combine two different but closely connected disciplines in a mining process to each other, ore geology and process mineralogy by studying mineralogical-textural features of the ore and the ore concentrate in an apatite iron ore deposit in Malmberget, Sweden. Apatite iron ore deposits (Kiruna type) exist in a few places around the world and the two most important deposits are mined by LKAB at Kiruna and Malmberget. READ MORE

7. Paleoproterozoic deformation in the Kiruna‑Gällivare area in northern Norrbotten, Sweden : Setting, character, age, and control of iron oxide-apatite deposits
Abstract : This thesis covers the structural evolution of the Kiruna‑Gällivare area in the northern Norrbotten ore province, Sweden. The study area hosts several economically significant iron oxide-apatite (IOA) deposits and includes the type locality for this ore type. READ MORE

8. Adsorption of surfactants and polymers on iron oxides : implications for flotation and agglomeration of iron ore
Abstract : Iron ore pellets are an important refined product used as a raw material in the production of steel. In order to meet the requirements of the processes for iron production, the iron ore is upgraded in a number of steps including, among others, reverse flotation. READ MORE

9. Geophysical 3D models of Paleoproterozoic Iron Oxide Apatite mineralization’s and Related Mineral Systems in Norrbotten, Sweden
Abstract : The Northern Norrbotten ore district hosts a multitude of Sweden’s mineral deposits including world class deposits such as the Malmberget and Kirunavaara Iron oxide apatite deposits, the Aitik Iron oxide copper gold deposit, and a multitude of smaller deposits. Northern Norrbotten has been shaped by tectonothermal events related to the evolution of the Fennoscandian Shield and is a geologically complex environment. READ MORE

10. The origin of iron ores in Bergslagen, Sweden, and their relationships with polymetallic sulphide ores
Abstract : The Bergslagen mining district of southern Sweden is one of Europe’s classic mining districts with more than 1 000 years of mining history. One of the typical features of Bergslagen is a spatial association between Zn-Pb-Ag-(Cu-Au) sulphide deposits and magnetite-rich Fe oxide deposits. READ MORE
