1. Studies of Accelerator-Driven Systems for Transmutation of Nuclear Waste
Abstract : Accelerator-driven systems for transmutation of nuclear waste have been suggested as a means for dealing with spent fuel components that pose potential radiological hazard for long periods of time. While not entirely removing the need for underground waste repositories, this nuclear waste incineration technology provides a viable method for reducing both waste volumes and storage times. 2. Effective Spatial Mapping for Coupled Code Analysis of Thermal–Hydraulics/Neutron–Kinetics of Boiling Water Reactors
Abstract : Analyses of nuclear reactor safety have increasingly required coupling of full three dimensional neutron kinetics (NK) core models with system transient thermal–hydraulics (TH) codes. In order to produce results within a reasonable computing time, the coupled codes use two different spatial description of the reactor core. READ MORE

3. Nuclear safeguards directed to the application of multivariate analysis techniques to existing and future nuclear fuel cycles
Abstract : For as long as nuclear power has existed, there has been a concern for effectively safeguarding nuclear material since it was learned that it could be misused. Early on, many nations were interested in nuclear power, and therefore there was an urgent need to verify that it was only used for civilian purposes. READ MORE

4. Anti-nuclear Movements in Discursive and Political Contexts : Between Expert Voices and Local Protests
Abstract : Energy policies which maintain and extend nuclear energy are often opposed by anti-nuclear movements. Ambitious plans for developing nuclear energy in Russia, constructing a first nuclear plant in Poland, and lifting the ban on nuclear energy while allowing the replacement of old reactors in Sweden are examples of such energy policies. 5. Isomeric yield ratios in nuclear fission
Abstract : Isomeric yield ratios (IYR), referring to the relative yield of the high spin states of a nucleus to the total yield of all observed states, is an observable of nuclear fission that has the potential to improve our understanding of the fission dynamics. Apart from that, systematic observations of IYRs can also contribute to other areas, such as the validation of fission models, modelling of the r-process in stellar nucleosynthesis, studies of the antineutrino mixing angle, the safety of present-day nuclear reactors, and the design of advanced reactor systems.
