    Author : Eva Magnusson; Institutionen för datavetenskap; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; numerisk analys; Datalogi; control; systems; numerical analysis; Declarative object-oriented programming; attribute grammars; fixed-point computations; Computer science; cross references; system; kontroll;

    Abstract : This thesis deals with techniques for raising the programming level for a particular kind of computations, namely those on abstract syntax trees. Such computations are central in many program analysis tools, such as compilers, smart language-sensitive editors, and static analysis tools. READ MORE

  4. 4. Robot path planning : an object-oriented approach

    Author : Morten Strandberg; Bo Wahlberg; Steven La Valle; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Signalbehandling; mathematics; computer science; Signalbehandling; Signal processing; Signalbehandling;

    Abstract : Path planning has important applications in many areas, for example industrial robotics, autonomous systems, virtual prototyping, and computer-aided drug design. This thesis presents a new framework for developing and evaluating path planning algorithms. The framework is named CoPP (Components for Path Planning). READ MORE

  5. 5. An Object-Oriented Framework for PDE Solvers

    Author : Krister Åhlander; Michael Thuné; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; PDE; Navier-Stokes; object-oriented; overlapping grids; Numerical Analysis; Numerisk analys;

    Abstract : The issue of how to develop reusable software in scientific computing is addressed. With object-oriented analysis and design, an extendable set of collaborating objects - a framework named COMPOSE - is suggested in the area of "PDE solvers", i.e., programs that numerically solve partial differential equations (PDEs).
