16. Aspects of offshore renewable energy and the alterations of marine habitats
Abstract : Several Western European countries are planning for a massive offshore renewable energy (i.e. wind and wave energy) development (ORED) along the European Atlantic coast and in the Baltic Sea. READ MORE

17. Design and Assessment of HVDC Off-shore Wind Turbine Generator
Abstract : In this work, design and assessment of a 5 MW wind energy generator with a gearbox is performed to find an energy-efficient generator for HVDC offshore wind turbines, studying aninterior permanent magnet synchronous generator (IPMSG) as well as a permanent magnetassisted synchronous reluctance generator (PMa-SynRG). Quantities such as torque density, torque ripple, losses and amount of magnet material are studied. READ MORE

18. A Novel Oil-immersed Medium Frequency Transformer for Offshore HVDC Wind Farms
Abstract : In this project, a design of an oil type medium frequency transformer for offshore wind farm applications is proposed. The design is intended for applications when series coupling of the output of the DC/DC converters of the wind turbine on their secondary side is done to achieve a cost-effective high voltage solution for collecting energy from offshore wind parks. 19. Power from the Brave New Ocean - Marine Renewable Energy and Ecological Risks
Abstract : This thesis address ecological risks associated with the possible growth of marine renewable energy. Tidal power, wave power, ocean thermal energy conversion (OTEC) and currently expanding offshore wind power are likely to become common components of future seascapes. READ MORE

20. Resource mobilisation for energy system transformation
Abstract : A transition to a sustainable path of development will require that fossil fuels are replaced with renewable energy sources and involve, therefore, a large-scale transformation of the energy system. In the EU, offshore wind power and biorefineries have the potential to play an important role in this transformation. READ MORE
