  1. 21. The female offender : patterning of antisocial and criminal behaviour over the life-course

    Author : Frida Andersson; Malmö högskola; []
    Keywords : criminal career; female offending; trajectories; sex differences; adult onset; chronics; life-course;

    Abstract : The studies included in the thesis illustrate the patterning of female offending over the life course. The overarching aim is to contribute to a better understanding of the female offender and of the heterogeneity in female criminal offending trajectories over the life course, and also of factors that differentiate between these trajectories. 2. 22. Disturbed sleep and emotion : a developmental perspective

    Author : Nanette S. Danielsson; Steven J Linton; Markus Jansson-Fröjmark; Børge Sivertsen; Örebro universitet; []
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; sleep disturbance; emotion dysregulation; catastrophic worry; sleep-onset; partial sleep deprivation; neuroticism; depressive symptoms; Psykologi; Psychology;

    Abstract : Sleep disturbances are not only defining features, but also diagnostic criteria for most psychiatric disorders. Recently, researchers have proposed a theoretic role for sleep disturbances in emotion dysregulation, subsequently linking neurobiological processes and psychopathology. READ MORE

  3. 23. Ulcerative colitis : colorectal cancer risk and surveillance in an unselected population

    Author : Jan Lindberg; Curt Tysk; Umeå universitet; []
    Keywords : ulcerative colitis; colonoscopic surveillance; colorectal cancer; dysplasia; DNA aneuploidy; cytokeratin; colorectal resection; early onset; Surgery; kirurgi;

    Abstract : Ulcerative colitis is a chronic inflammatory disease that mainly affects the colon and rectum. Onset of disease is most common between the ages of 15-35 years. There is an observed increased risk of colorectal cancer associated with the disease. The risk is often described to be 2% after 10 years, 8% after 20 years and 18% after 30 years disease. READ MORE

  4. 24. Clinical evaluation and implications of left atrial remodeling in atrial fibrillation : From silent cerebral lesions and atrial stunning to novel electrocardiographic tools for prediction of arrhythmia outcome

    Author : Panagiotis Arvanitis; Carina Blomström-Lundqvist; Mårten Rosenqvist; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Atrial fibrillation; left atrial remodeling; recurrence; new-onset; silent cerebral lesions; white matter hyperintensities; cardioversion; pulmonary vein isolation; risk factors; electrocardiographic predictors; P-wave indices; machine learning; predictive models; Covid-19;

    Abstract : Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common cardiac arrhythmia. Left atrial (LA) remodeling and reverse remodeling are associated with cerebral involvement and cognitive function (CF) changes. Risk stratification for AF related outcomes is essential in the management of patients with AF. READ MORE

  5. 25. On the atmospheric transport pathways of heat into the Arctic in winter and spring

    Author : Sonja Murto; Rodrigo Caballero; Gunilla Svensson; Dörthe Handorf; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Arctic climate; Blocking; Warm-air intrusions; Surface energy budget; Melt onset; MOSAiC; Atmospheric Sciences and Oceanography; atmosfärvetenskap och oceanografi;

    Abstract : The atmospheric meridional energy transport is an important component in the global climate system, as it transports moisture and heat from the midlatitudes into the Arctic, balancing the regional energy loss to space. Narrow and intense injections of warm and moist air, so-called warm-air intrusions, have a large local imprint on the surface through various processes acting on different scales, such as cloud formation, turbulent fluxes and atmospheric large-scale circulation.
