16. Alloy Design for Refractory High Entropy Alloys with Better Balanced Mechanical Properties at Both Room Temperature and Elevated Temperatures
Abstract : Motivated by the desire to improve the energy efficiency of gas turbines by operating them at higher temperatures (HT), which will contribute to a more energy efficient and carbonless society, the quest for novel ultrahigh-temperature materials can never be overwhelming. High entropy alloys, the recently emerged multi-component alloys with equiatomic or close-to-equiatomic compositions, are considered highly promising as next-generation ultrahigh-temperature materials. 17. How visual ergonomics interventions influence health and performance - with an emphasis on non-computer work tasks
Abstract : Visual ergonomics evaluations and interventions were performed on non-computer work tasks at recycling facilities, post sorting facilities and operating theatres. The results can to some extent be applicable to other professions and workplaces. READ MORE

18. Swedish operating room nurses preventive interventions to reduce bacterial growth, surgical site infections, and increase comfort in patients undergoing surgery
Abstract : Surgical site infection is a major postoperative complication that causes patient suffering and is costly for society. The general aim of this thesis was to test and describe interventions performed by operating room (OR) nurses to prevent bacterial growth in surgical patients, with the intent to prevent surgical site infections (SSIs) whilst increase patients comfort. 19. Communication and Patient Safety : Transfer of information between healthcare personnel in anaesthetic clinics
Abstract : Communication errors are frequent during the perioperative period and cause clinical incidents and adverse events. The overall aim of the thesis was to study communication – the transfer of information, especially the postoperative handover – between healthcare personnel in an anaesthetic clinic and the effects of using the communication tool SBAR (Situation-Background-Assessment-Recommendation) from a patient safety perspective. 20. Fouling and cleaning of solid surfaces. The influence of surface characteristics and operating conditions
Abstract : The severe fouling common in food processing puts high demands on equipment cleaning. Adsorption of the protein betalactoglobulin to solid surfaces and its subsequent removal were followed using in situ ellipsometry. Most experiments were done in a stirred cuvette. Additionally, a flow cell was designed, which was employed in some work. READ MORE
