  1. 6. Boundary values of plurisubharmonic functions and related topics

    Author : Berit Kemppe; Urban Cegrell; Anders Fällström; Alexander Raskovskii; Umeå universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Plurisubharmonic functions; boundary measures; boundary values; complex Monge-Ampère operator; weak*-convergence; Mathematical analysis; Analys; Mathematics; matematik;

    Abstract : This thesis consists of three papers concerning problems related to plurisubharmonic functions on bounded hyperconvex domains, in particular boundary values of such functions. The papers summarized in this thesis are:* Paper I Urban Cegrell and Berit Kemppe, Monge-Ampère boundary measures, Ann. Polon. Math. READ MORE

  3. 8. The Dirac Equation: Numerical and Asymptotic Analysis

    Author : Hasan Almanasreh; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Dirac operator; eigenvalue problem; finite element method; spurious eigenvalues; Petrov-Galerkin; cubic Hermite basis functions; stability parameter; meshfree method; $hp$-cloud; intrinsic enrichment; G-convergence; $ Gamma$-convergence; scattering theory; identification; wave operator; stationary approach; Dirac operator;

    Abstract : The thesis consists of three parts, although each part belongs to a specific subject area in mathematics, they are considered as subfields of the perturbation theory. The main objective of the presented work is the study of the Dirac operator; the first part concerns the treatment of the spurious eigenvalues in the computation of the discrete spectrum. READ MORE

  4. 9. Boundary singularities of plurisubharmonic functions

    Author : Mårten Nilsson; Matematik LTH; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; pluripotential theory; envelope of plurisubharmonic functions; complex Monge-Ampère equation; Jensen measures;

    Abstract : We study the Perron–Bremermann envelope P(μ, φ):=sup{u(z) ; u ∈ PSH(Ω), (ddcu)n≥ μ, u^* ≤ φ} on a B-regular domain Ω. Such envelopes occupy a central position within pluripotential theory as they, for suitable μ and φ harmonic and continuous on the closure of Ω, constitute unique solutions to the Dirichlet problem for the complex Monge–Ampère operator. 5. 10. Weighted Bergman kernels and biharmonic Green functions

    Author : Stefan Jakobsson; Matematikcentrum; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; singularity resolution of Bergman kernels; Hadamard s variational formula; weighted Bergman kernel; weighted biharmonic Green function; Friedrichs operator; Plant biochemistry; Växtbiokemi;

    Abstract : The main theme of this thesis is the connection between weighted biharmonic Green functions and weighted Bergman kernels. In the first paper, which is a joint work with H. Hedenmalm and S. Shimorin, we prove that weighted biharmonic Green functions are positive for weights which satisfy a mean-value condition and whose logarithms are subharmonic. READ MORE
