  1. 1. On Vertex Operator Algebras of Affine Type at Admissible Levels

    Author : Thomas Edlund; Matematik (naturvetenskapliga fakulteten); []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Vertex operator algebras; Kac-Moody algebras; Ore localization; Admissible levels; Singular vectors; Intertwining operators;

    Abstract : The main purpose of this thesis is the study of the structure and representation theory of simple vertex operator algebras (VOAs) of affine type at admissible levels. To do this, it is crucial to obtain knowledge of the singular vectors which generate the maximal submodules, with respect to which these VOAs appear as irreducible quotients, and therefore a substantial part of the text is devoted to this matter. 2. 2. Scattering of electromagnetic waves by a perfectly conducting half plane below a stratified overburden and applications to geophysical prospecting by VLF

    Author : Olle Olsson; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Malmgeologi; Ore Geology;

    Abstract : The present paper is an introduction to and a summary of a thesis consisting of the following papers:1. Scattering of electromagnetic waves by a perfectly conducting half plane below a stratified overburden. Radio Sci. (1978), Vol. READ MORE

  3. 3. On Visual Perception for an Aerial Robotic Worker

    Author : Christoforos Kanellakis; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Reglerteknik; Control Engineering;

    Abstract : Micro Aerial Vehicles and especially multi rotors are gaining more and more attention for accomplishing complex tasks, considering their simple mechanical design and their versatile movement. MAVs are ideal candidates to perform tasks autonomously, to work safely in close proximity and in collaboration with humans, and to operate safely and effectively in natural human environments, like infrastructure inspection-maintenance, underground mine operations and surveillance missions.
