6. Tectonic implications of ca. 1.45 Ga granitoid magmatism at the southwestern margin of the East European Craton
Abstract : Between ca 1.53 and 1.40 Ga, the southwestern margin of the East European Craton was subjected to extensive magmatism and deformation. While various suites of anorthositic, mangeritic and charnockitic-granitic rocks were emplaced between ca. READ MORE

7. Geophysical studies of the upper crust of the central Swedish Caledonides in relation to the COSC scientific drilling project
Abstract : The Collisional Orogeny in the Scandinavian Caledonides (COSC) project aims to provide a deeper understanding of mountain belt dynamics through scientific deep drilling in the central parts of the mountain belt of western Sweden. The main targets include a subduction related allochthon, the basal orogenic detachment and the underlying partially subducted Precambrian basement. READ MORE

8. Seismic-Reflection and Seismic-Refraction Imaging of the South Portuguese Zone Fold-and-Thrust Belt
Abstract : The South Portuguese Zone (SPZ), which host world-class massive sulphide deposits, forms the southern fold-and-thrust belt of the Iberian Variscan orogeny. This thesis focuses on seismic-reflection and seismic-refraction processing efforts on a subset of the IBERSEIS deep seismic-reflection data set aiming at resolving the SPZ upper crust in high resolution. 9. Testing Tectonic Concepts in the Seve Nappe Complex, Jämtland, Sweden
Abstract : When continental plates collide, one of the involved continents is subducted beneath the other one. As a consequence, the lithosphere thickens along the convergent plate boundary and causes the formation of a mountain belt. READ MORE

10. The Mesoproterozoic Hallandian event - a region-scale orogenic event in the Fennoscandian Shield
Abstract : The Sveconorwegian Province occupies the southwestern part of the Fennoscandian Shield. The easternmost tectonic unit of the Province is the 1710-1660 Ma parautochthonous Eastern Segment, which bears the imprint of at least two metamorphic events; the 1460-1380 Ma Hallandian and the 1150-970 Ma Sveconorwegian.
