17. Origin and Lifestyles of early Brachiopods and other Lophotrochozoans : Insights from the Chengjiang and Guanshan Fossil-Lagerstätten
Abstract : One of the great unsolved evolutionary questions concerns the origin and phylogeny of the major animal phyla that appeared in the fossil record more than 540 million years ago, during the Cambrian explosion. Although new molecular information has been very useful, we still have little understanding about the origin of most of the phyla of bilaterians living today. READ MORE

18. Holocene Climate in Central and Southern Sweden : Quantitative Reconstructions from Fossil Data
Abstract : In quantitative palaeoecology modern species-environmental relationships can be statistically modelled, and recent development has made the calibration models more statistically robust. These models are used to transform fossil assemblages to quantitative estimates of past environmental conditions. READ MORE

19. Unlocking the hidden diversity of organic-walled microfossils from the early Cambrian of North Greenland
Abstract : The early Cambrian Buen Formation of North Greenland is celebrated for hosting one of the oldest Cambrian Burgess Shale-type deposits known to date – the Sirius Passet Lagerstätte. Further south in a shallower shelf facies belt, the Buen Formation yielded organic-walled microfossils (OWMs) that were originally described with a focus on acritarchs. READ MORE

20. Reef biostromes and related facies from the Middle Silurian of Gotland, Sweden
Abstract : Reef biostromes and related facies from the upper part of Wenlock and from Ludlow were investigated in order to account for their formation, their palaeoecology and biology. In the Hemse Group of Ludlow age, all studied biostromes comprise a low diversity fauna where one or few species dominates. READ MORE
