    Abstract : Introduction of green changes in different stages of a construction project are reflected in construction processes and products, and in the relationship between contractors and other firms and consequently in the business model of contractors. The aim of this thesis is to understand and analyse contractors’ collaboration practices with suppliers and clients in green construction projects and processes, and see if there are differences in how contractors collaborate with their clients and suppliers as a result of engaging in green construction. 2. 22. Life history decisions in a changing environment : A long-term study of a temperate barnacle goose population

    Author : Henk van der Jeugd; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Developmental biology; Age at first reproduction; Barnacle goose; Branta leucopsis; Coloniality; Dispersal; Life-history; Mate choice; Population dynamics; Survival; Utvecklingsbiologi; Developmental biology; Utvecklingsbiologi; Animal Ecology; zooekologi;

    Abstract : This thesis shows that climate and increasing population density have profound effects on survival, age at first reproduction, and natal dispersal in a rapidly increasing temperate barnacle goose Branta leucopsis population on Gotland, Sweden.Colony size was found to be the most important fitness-determinant because of strong density-dependent effects on reproduction. 3. 23. Creating & Enabling the Useful Service Discovery Experience : The Perfect Recommendation Does Not Exist

    Author : Magnus Ingmarsson; Henrik Eriksson; Göran Falkman; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Ubiquitous Computing; Service Discovery; Ontologies; Common Sense; World Knowledge; Design; Architecture; Command and Control;

    Abstract : We are rapidly entering a world with an immense amount of services and devices available to humans and machines. This is a promising future, however there are at least two major challenges for using these services and devices: (1) they have to be found and (2) after being found, they have to be selected amongst. 4. 24. Development of molecular recognition by rational and combinatorial engineering

    Author : Andreas Jonsson; Stefan Ståhl; Mats Persson; KTH; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Affibody molecule; albumin binding domain; protein engineering; phage display; amyloid beta peptide; TNF; HSA; Molecular biology; Molekylärbiologi;

    Abstract : Combinatorial protein engineering, taking advantage of large libraries of protein variants and powerful selection technology, is a useful strategy for developing affinity proteins for applications in biotechnology and medicine. In this thesis, two small affinity proteins have been subjected to combinatorial protein engineering to improve or redirect the binding. READ MORE
