  1. 1. Laser Doppler imaging of patch tests : a methodological and comparative study with visual assessments

    University dissertation from Stockholm : Karolinska Institutet, Department of Medicine

    Author : Bolli Bjarnason; Karolinska Institutet.; Karolinska Institutet.; [1999]
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; skin perfusion; laser Doppler perfusion imaging; laser Doppler perfusion scanning; contact dermatitis; patch test technique; test procedure; test method; test system; patch test optimization; serial dilution; dose; exposure time; application time; reading time; immunosuppression; pigmented patch test materials; edge effect; nickel; isothiazolinones; corticosteroids; budesonide; neomycin; balsam of Peru;

    Abstract : Optimal test technique for most allergens is lacking. Despite technological progress in the 20th century, patch tests are habitually still assessed visually. Morphology of definite positive patch tests is unknown, reflected by various reading scales available and false-positive tests. READ MORE

    Abstract : Internet of Things is expanding to the areas such as healthcare, home management, industrial, agriculture, and becoming pervasive in our life, resulting in improved efficiency, accuracy and economic benefits. Smart sensors with embedded interfacing integrated circuits (ICs) are important enablers, hence, variety of smart sensors are required. READ MORE

  3. 3. Experimental and Clinical Studies on Contact Allergy to Diphenylmethane-4,4′-diisocyanate and Related Substances

    University dissertation from Lund University, Faculty of Medicine

    Author : Haneen Hamada; Lunds universitet.; Lund University.; [2017]

    Abstract : The exposure to isocyanates is more of an occupational problem than a consumer problem. The main route of exposure is assumed to be through inhalation. Isocyanates that have high vapor pressure, such as TDI, can be airborne at room temperature. Other isocyanates such as MDI are volatile only when heated. READ MORE

  4. 4. Flexible and Stretchable Biointerfacing for Healthcare Diagnostics

    University dissertation from KTH Royal Institute of Technology

    Author : Mina Rajabi; KTH.; [2019]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Wearable biointerfacing sensor; flexible and stretchable microneedles patch; wearable microneedles device; health and fitness monitoring; minimally invasive ICP monitoring; bioelectronics; Electrical Engineering; Elektro- och systemteknik;

    Abstract : Flexible and stretchable wearable biomedical devices provide a platform for continues long-term monitoring of biological signals during neutral body movements thus enabling early intervention and diagnostics of various diseases. This thesis evaluates novel flexible and stretchable bio interfacing medical devices based on microneedle patches and split ring resonator for healthcare diagnostics. READ MORE

  5. 5. Surgical treatment of left main coronary artery stenosis
