1. XPS studies of an organic anode and hole-conductor system : PEDOT-PSS
Abstract : This thesis deals with photoelectron spectroscopy of conducting polymer systems. A particular system, poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) polystyrenesulfonic acid (PEDOT-PSS), has been the main focus of this work. It is an aqueous colloidal dispersion consisting of doped conjugated polymer PEDOT with counter ions provided by the PSS chains. READ MORE

2. Electrochemical Characterizations of Conducting Redox Polymers : Electron Transport in PEDOT/Quinone Systems
Abstract : Organic electrode materials for rechargeable batteries have caught increasing attention since they can be used in new innovative applications such as flexible electronics and smart fabrics. They can provide safer and more environmentally friendly devices than traditional batteries made from metals. READ MORE

3. Composite Regenerative Scaffolds
Abstract : Regenerative medicine and tissue engineering solutions of heavily innervated tissues are at this point lacklustre. This thesis expands our knowledge of appropriate acellular scaffolds for tissue repair in general and nerve regeneration in particular. READ MORE

4. Eco-Technologies for Immobilizing Redox Enzymes on Conductive Textiles, for Sustainable Development
Abstract : Enzyme immobilization on electrically conductive supports is necessary to improve their bioactivity and stability, for use and re-use in applications depending on bio-electrochemical response, such as in bioelectrodes, biosensors, or biofuel cells. However, the immobilization methods used are still facing many challenges in terms of health hazards and high environmental impact. READ MORE

5. Electrically conductive textile coatings with PEDOT:PSS
Abstract : In smart textiles, electrical conductivity is often required for several functions, especially contacting (electroding) and interconnecting. This thesis explores electrically conductive textile surfaces made by combining conventional textile coating methods with the intrinsically conductive polymer complex poly(3,4-ethylene dioxythiophene)-poly(styrene sulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS).
