16. On Performance of Digital Radio Receiver in Non-Gaussian Interference
Abstract : Interference from electrical equipment can degrade a co-located digital radio receiver severely. To avoid this performance degradation it is necessary to have estimation methods to predict the influence from an interference environment on a radio receiver in advance. READ MORE

17. Occupational performance in school settings : evaluation and intervention using the school AMPS
Abstract : Background: This thesis is was designed to evaluate aspects of reliability and validity of the School Version of the Assessment of Motor and Process Skills (School AMPS) (Fisher, Bryze, Hume, & Griswold, 2007), an observation-based evaluation of quality of occupational performance when children perform schoolwork tasks in school settings. The long term goal was to contribute to knowledge about children at risk or with mild disabilities who experience difficulties with occupational performance in school settings, and describe how the School AMPS can be used when a true top−down process of planning and implementing school-based occupational therapy services is implemented in a Swedish context. 18. Calculation and Measurement Methods for the Performance of Solar Collectors. Models of Flat Plate Collectors, Transparent Insulation and Efficiency Factors
Abstract : This thesis deals with models of flat plate collectors, transparent insulation and efficiency factors. An equation for the energy output from a glazed flat plate collector is derived by modelling the collector efficiency factor, F´ as the sum of a constant and a temperature dependent part. READ MORE

19. Performance Modeling of Multi-core Systems : Caches and Locks
Abstract : Performance is an important aspect of computer systems since it directly affects user experience. One way to analyze and predict performance is via performance modeling. In recent years, multi-core systems have made processors more powerful while keeping power consumption relatively low. READ MORE

20. Ground Object Recognition using Laser Radar Data : Geometric Fitting, Performance Analysis, and Applications
Abstract : This thesis concerns detection and recognition of ground object using data from laser radar systems. Typical ground objects are vehicles and land mines. For these objects, the orientation and articulation are unknown. The objects are placed in natural or urban areas where the background is unstructured and complex. READ MORE
