Abstract : This thesis describes studies on the evaluation of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISAs) and simple rapid HIV assays for use in HIV testing strategies in resource-limited settings and studies of HIV vaccine-induced immune responses.
