  1. 1. Overcoming the Mass Transport Limitations of Dye-Sensitised Solar Cells : Towards highly efficient and robust alternative redox mediator electrolyte DSSCs

    Author : Roger Jiang; Gerrit Boschloo; Erik Johansson; Anders Hagfeldt; Frédéric Sauvage; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Dye-sensitised solar cell; dye-sensitized solar cell; photoelectrochemical cell; cobalt tris bipyridine ; mass transport; photocurrent transients;

    Abstract : Dye-sensitised solar cells (DSSCs) have been subject to decadelong research interest, and may have some potential niche market applications. Recently, major advances in power conversion efficiencies have been achieved following the transition to cobalt polypyridine based redox mediators. READ MORE

  2. 2. Charge transport in nanostructured metal oxide thin film electrodes

    Author : Anita Solbrand; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Physics; Fysik; Physics; Fysik; Physical Chemistry; fysikalisk kemi;

    Abstract : Nanostructured metal oxide electrodes are of great interest due to its wide field of potential applications, e.g. solar cells and batteries. The electron transport in nano-structured TiO2 and ZnO thin film electrodes was studied with time-resolved photo-currents and steady-state measurements. READ MORE

  3. 3. Nanostructured ZnO electrodes for solar cell applications

    Author : Karin Keis; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Physics; Zinc oxide; nanostructured; mesoporous; photoelectrochemistry; solar cells; Fysik; Physics; Fysik; Physical Chemistry; fysikalisk kemi;

    Abstract : In this thesis the possibilities of using nanostructured dye-sensitized ZnO electrodes for solar energy conversion in photoelectrochemical solar cells are investigated. In order to characterize the photoelectrochemical properties of unsensitized ZnO films, measurements were performed using a short laser pulse (laser flash induced current transients) and under continuous illumination (steady-state).
