Abstract : Objectives: This thesis examined the health systems effects of implementing the integrated Community Case Management (iCCM) intervention for paediatric febrile illnesses in a retail health market in South Western Uganda. Abstract : The objective of this study initially was to determine the prevalence of culture-verified pulmonary tuberculosis in TB suspects and investigate the impact of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection on the prevalence, clinical and radiological presentation and diagnosis of tuberculosis. 25. Streptococcus pneumoniae : epidemiological, clinical and serological studies
Abstract : A retrospective study of invasive pneumococcal disease in patients from Greater Göteborg in 1964- 1980 identified 125 cases of meningitis, 305 of pneumonia, 61 of septicemia with unknown focus, and 17 with other manifestations, all verified by cultures from normally sterile body fluids. The incidence was several times higher in infants and in the elderly than in any other age-group. READ MORE
