  1. 1. Crystalline Porous Materials Inspired by Metallodrugs

    Author : Erik Svensson Grape; A. Ken Inge; Tomislav Friščić; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; metal-organic frameworks; material synthesis; pharmaceuticals; porous materials; crystallography; oorganisk kemi; Inorganic Chemistry;

    Abstract : Inspiration for developing robust porous materials from sustainable reagents was acquired by determining the crystal structures of bismuth subsalicylate and bibrocathol, two long-used and commonly available bismuth-based pharmaceuticals. From these insights, a number of coordination polymers and metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) were developed, facilitating the synthesis of robust porous materials from sustainably sourced reagents. 2. 2. Lanthanide Metal-Organic Frameworks and Hierarchical Porous Zeolitic Imidazolate Frameworks : Synthesis, Properties, and Applications

    Author : Hani Nasser Abdelhamid; Xiaodong Zou; Belén Martín-Matute; Banglin Chen; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Metal-organic frameworks; Zeolitic imidazolate frameworks; Lanthanide MOFs; Hierarchical porous ZIFs; Inorganic Chemistry; oorganisk kemi;

    Abstract : This thesis presents the synthesis, properties, and applications of two important classes of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs); lanthanide MOFs and hierarchical porous zeolitic imidazolate frameworks (ZIFs). The materials have been characterized using a wide range of techniques including diffraction, imaging, various spectroscopic techniques, gas sorption, dynamical light scattering (DLS) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). 3. 3. Transient electrochemical methods for investigation of porous battery electrodes

    Author : Anton Lundqvist; KTH; []
    Keywords : electrochemical iimpedance spectroscopy; limn2o4; mathematical modelling; metal hydride; mcroelectrode; porous electrode; potential step; state of charge;

    Abstract : This thesis treats electrochemical methods used to studybattery materials. Two different types of materials are used asmodel systems in this study, metal hydride alloys used in thenickel-metal hydride battery and LiMn2O4suggested for use in the lithium-ion battery. Thetwo model systems are used to critically analyse differentexperimental methods. READ MORE
