11. Numerical Methods for Molecular Dynamics with Nearly Crossing Potential Surfaces
Abstract : This thesis consists of four papers that concern error estimates for the Born-Oppenheimer molecular dynamics, and adaptive algorithms for the Car-Parrinello and Ehrenfest molecular dynamics. In Paper I, we study error estimates for the Born-Oppenheimer molecular dynamics with nearly crossing potential surfaces. 12. Accurate Finite Difference Methods for Option Pricing
Abstract : Stock options are priced numerically using space- and time-adaptive finite difference methods. European options on one and several underlying assets are considered. These are priced with adaptive numerical algorithms including a second order method and a more accurate method. READ MORE

13. Wastelands of difference? Urban nature and more-than-human difference in Berlin and Gothenburg
Abstract : This thesis explores more-than-human entanglements of contemporary urban environments in order to develop a rearticulation of urban landscapes as spaces decidedly beyond the exclusively human. Taking its cue from the question “How do we live with urban difference today?,” such spaces, the thesis argues, emerge through, as well as change with, a variety of socio-ecological entwinements. 14. Sensory and secretory responses to intestinal distension; implications for the pathophysiology of the irritable bowel syndrome
Abstract : Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a common gut disorder, characterized by abdominal pain and/or discomfort associated with disturbed bowel habits. The pathophysiology of IBS is complex and still largely unknown, although visceral hypersensitivity is frequently associated with the disease. READ MORE

15. Neural control of colonic epithelial transport, motility and permeability in vivo. An experimental study in anaesthetized rats
Abstract : Colonic dysfunction may result in diarrhoea, abdominal pain or constipation, andinflammatory bowel disease, bile acid malabsorption and particularly irritable bowelsyndrome are very common disorders. The role of the enteric nervous system (ENS) inthese diseases is largely unknown. READ MORE
