2. Nanocomposite films for corrosion protection
Abstract : This thesis describes technical and scientific aspects of new types of composite films/coatings for corrosion protection of carbon steel, composite films with nanometer thickness consisting of mussel adhesive protein (Mefp‐1) and ceria nanoparticles, and polymeric composite coatings with micrometre thickness consisting of conducting polymer and ceria nanoparticles in a UV‐curing polyester acrylate (PEA) resin. The influence of microstructure on corrosion behaviour was studied for a Fe‐Cr‐V‐N alloy containing micro‐sized nitrides with different chemical composition spread in martensitic alloy matrix. 3. Study of Electrochemical Behaviour and Corrosion Resistance of Materials for Pacemaker Lead Applications
Abstract : For patients suffering bradycardia, i.e., too slow heart rhythm, the common treatment is having a pacemaker implanted. The pacemaker system consists of the pacemaker and a pacing lead. READ MORE

4. Hydrogen embrittlement and corrosion behavior of low-temperature carburized austenitic stainless steel
Abstract : For metallic components used in hydrogen environments, hydrogen embrittlement and corrosion have always been important considering potential failure risks. Among many metallic materials, austenitic stainless steel has found broad application because of its excellent corrosion and hydrogen embrittlement resistance. READ MORE

5. Studies on Rechargeable Fe-air electrodes in Alkaline electrolyte
Abstract : Energy storage system is an important component in the energy system based on variable renewable energy sources into the grid. Energy storage system could contribute to decarbonization, energy security, offset the demand and supply of the electricity sector, especially for the electric grid. READ MORE
