11. Mechanisms of Metal Dusting
Abstract : The primary intention with this Doctoral thesis is to fillin the knowledge gaps and raise the level of understandingregarding the different metal dusting mechanisms in general andexplain the process in detail for high alloyed materials.Considerable effort is put into identifying the driving forcesand elucidating the diffusional processes in metal dusting. 12. Impacts of Regional Climate Change on Swedish Forests: An Evaluation Using Process-based Regional Ecosystem Modelling Approach
Abstract : The overall aim of this thesis was to provide a representative estimate of the potential impacts of climate change and increased atmospheric CO2 concentrations on Swedish forest ecosystems and the key ecosystem services they provide. In order to achieve this task, fi rst LPJ-GUESS, a process-based regional ecosystem modelling framework, was applied to explore how possible shifts in climatic zones according to a range of regional climate scenarios may lead to changes in the tree species distribution and composition, net primary productivity (NPP) and carbon sequestration capacity of potential natural ecosystems on species level and at the regional scale. 13. Modelling carbon uptake in Nordic forest landscapes using remote sensing
Abstract : Boreal forests and peatlands store over 30% of the global terrestrial carbon in their vegetation and soil. but changing climate can compromise the current carbon stock. READ MORE

14. A Study on Vanadium Extraction from Fe-V-P Melts Derived from Primary and Secondary Sources
Abstract : Vanadium extraction methods were developed for iron-vanadium-phosphorus (Fe-V-P) melts derived from processing of V-bearing titanomagnetites and steel slags. Studies on phase relationships of V slags were carried out to provide important understanding of the extraction processes. READ MORE

15. Molecular mechanisms involved in prokaryotic cycling of labile dissolved organic matter in the sea
Abstract : Roughly half of the global primary production originates from microscopic phytoplankton in marine ecosystems, converting carbon dioxide into organic matter. This organic matter pool consists of a myriad of compounds that fuel heterotrophic bacterioplankton. READ MORE
