  1. 6. Monitoring and Control of Robotized Laser Metal-Wire Deposition

    Author : Almir Heralic; Alexander Kaplan; Högskolan Väst; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Laser Metal Wire Deposition; Additive Layer Manufacturing; Robotic Weld Equipment; Optical Sensors; Process Control; Process Development; Process Stability; Iterative Learning Control; Manufacturing and materials engineering; Produktions- och materialteknik;

    Abstract : The thesis gives a number of solutions towards full automation of the promising manufacturing technology Robotized Laser Metal-wire Deposition (RLMwD). RLMwD offers great cost and weight saving potentials in the manufacturing industry. READ MORE

  2. 7. Noise sensitivity and FK-type representations for Gaussian and stable processes

    Author : Malin Palö Forsström; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; color representation; exclusion process; color process; Noise sensitivity; threshold stable vector; volatility; noise stability; interchange process; threshold Gaussian vector; multivariate stable distribution; Bernoulli random vector; mixing time;

    Abstract : This thesis contains four papers on probability theory. Paper A concerns the question of whether the exclusion sensitivity and exclusion stability of a sequence of Boolean functions are monotone with respect to adding edges to the underlying sequence of graphs. READ MORE

  3. 8. Citrus Waste Biorefinery: Process Development, Simulation and Economic Analysis

    Author : Mohammad Pour Bafrani; Mohammad Pourbafrani; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; process simulation; encapsulated yeast; Citrus wastes; economic analysis; computational fluid dynamic simulation; pectin; limonene; methane; ethanol;

    Abstract : The production of ethanol and other sustainable products including methane, limonene and pectin from citrus wastes (CWs) was studied in the present thesis. In the first part of the work, the CWs were hydrolyzed using enzymes – pectinase, cellulase and β-glucosidase – and the hydrolyzate was fermented using encapsulated yeasts in the presence of the inhibitor compound ‘limonene’. 4. 9. From Illusiveness to Genuineness : Routines, Trading Zones, Tools and Emotions in Sales Work

    Author : Dariusz Osowski; Jan Lindvall; Leon Caesarius; Alf Westelius; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Standardization; stability; flexibility; change; work; process; sales; salespeople; information and communication technology; organizational routines; trading zones; tools; emotions; Business Studies; Företagsekonomi;

    Abstract : Alongside the growing accessibility of information technologies organizations make attempts to structure work even in the areas that have been traditionally perceived as difficult to structure. The rationale is to increase the efficiency of work in the areas that are difficult to manage and where profitability can be questionable. READ MORE

  5. 10. Hydrothermal Liquefaction of Lignin into Bio-Oil

    Author : Huyen Nguyen Lyckeskog; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; hydrothermal conversion; aging; bio-oil; stability; subcritical water; lignin;

    Abstract : Lignin, one of the three main components of lignocellulosic biomass, is the second most abundant organic polymer found on Earth. Nowadays, most of the lignin (almost 99%) produced in the Kraft pulping process is used as internal fuel. READ MORE
