  1. 16. Production of polyclonal antibodies in rabbits and chickens immunised with human immunoglobulin G : A study of the utility of egg yolk antibody production as a substitute for rabbit serum antibody production

    Author : Lise Svendsen Bollen; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Laboratory animals; antibody production; egg yolk; adjuvants; antibody response; avidity; Försöksdjursvetenskap; Laboratory animal science; Försöksdjursvetenskap; zoologisk utvecklingsbiologi; Animal Development;

    Abstract : The utility of chicken egg yolk antibodies as an alternative to rabbit antisera was studied by comparing antibody and avidity development in immunised animals (15 rabbits and 30 chickens) during a one-year immunisation scheme. Human IgG was used as the model antigen and the efficacy of three adjuvants, Freund's Complete Adjuvant, Freund's Incomplete Adjuvant and Hunter's TiterMax, was compared. READ MORE

  2. 17. Capacity-constrained production-inventory systems : using Laplace transforms and input-output analysis

    Author : Zhiping Wang; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Production-Inventory Systems; Computer science; Datavetenskap;

    Abstract : This work is concerned with multi-level, multi-stage capacity-constrained production-inventory problems. The aim is to provide a contribution to a theoretical background for Material Requirements Planning (MRP) using the Laplace Transform approach and Input-Output Analysis. READ MORE

  3. 18. High Performance Manufacturing of Advanced Thin Plates ─ Forming of Titanium and Stainless Steel Materials

    Author : Per Gabrielson; Industriell Produktion; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; High performance manufacturing; test tools; sheet-metal forming; stainless steel; commercially pure titanium; process optimization; forming simulation; finite element analyses; acoustic emission; production performance analysis; cost models; manufacturing costs; sustainable production;

    Abstract : The manufacturing industry represents a highly important sector of the Swedish economy. The increasing demands placed on the quality and performance of products that are manufactured places increasing demands on the manufacturing processes involved. READ MORE

  4. 19. Energy and Production Planning for Process Industry Supply Chains

    Author : Martin Waldemarsson; Martin Rudberg; Helene Lidestam; Erik Dotzauer; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : Process industry; energy-intensive production systems; production planning; energy planning; Supply chain planning and optimization; energy management;

    Abstract : This thesis addresses industrial energy issues from a production economic perspective. During the past decade, the energy issue has become more important, partly due to rising energy prices in general, but also from a political pressure on environmental awareness concerning the problems with climate change. 5. 20. Hydrogen in the European energy system - The cost dynamics and the value of time-shifting electricity generation

    Author : Simon Öberg; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; cost; energy systems modeling; Hydrogen; gas turbine; system dynamics; time-shifting;

    Abstract : If the European Union is to become climate-neutral by Year 2050, as envisioned in the European Green Deal, the European energy system must undergo an unprecedented transformation towards eliminating its carbon emissions. For this transition, renewable electricity plays a central role, not only in replacing the current fossil-based electricity generation, but also in promoting the electrification of other sectors, such as transport and industry, sectors which are currently based on fossil fuels.
