  1. 1. Hydrometallurgical upgrading of a tetrahedrite-rich copper concentrate

    Author : Samuel Ayowole Awe; Gouzhu Ye; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Process Metallurgy; Processmetallurgi;

    Abstract : Removal of impurity elements in copper metallurgy is one of the major problems encountered today since pure copper ore reserves are becoming exhausted and the resources of unexploited ores often contain relatively high amounts of antimony, arsenic, mercury and bismuth, which need to be eliminated. The present work aims at pre-treating a tetrahedrite rich complex copper sulphide concentrate by selective dissolution of the impurities, therefore, upgrading it for pyrometallurgical processing. 2. 2. Obstacle Detection for Driverless Trucks in Industrial Environments

    Author : Klas Hedenberg; Thorsteinn Rögnvaldsson; Roger V. Bostelman; Högskolan i Halmstad; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Abstract : With an increased demand on productivity and safety in industry, new issues in terms of automated material handling arise. This results in industries not having a homogenous fleet of trucks and driven and driverless trucks are mixed in a dynamic environment. READ MORE

  3. 3. Fractionation of Cu and Fe isotopes in metal-rich mine sites : biotic and abiotic processes

    Author : Nathalie Pérez Rodríguez; Magnus Land; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Cu and Fe isotopes; fractionation; tailings; plants; phytoremediation; organic amendments; soil bacteria; Cu and Fe cycle; covellite; redox processes; Applied Geology; Tillämpad geologi;

    Abstract : After mineral exploitation the residual grinded and milled material, rich in sulphide minerals and heavy metals, is often left exposed to the atmospheric variables. This weathered mine waste material can lead to the formation of acid mine drainage (AMD) which has negative effects to the environment. READ MORE

    Abstract : This doctoral thesis addresses human resource management in project-based organisations. The aim is to explore the challenges for HRM in project-based organisations and the changes in people management systems to meet these challenges. The thesis consists of a compilation of six papers and an extended summary. READ MORE

  5. 5. Ultrasonic flow measurement methods applicable to wet low intensity magnetic separation

    Author : Jan Stener; Kent Tano; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Mineralteknik; Mineral Processing;

    Abstract : In this project the internal material transport processes of wet low-intensity magnetic separation (LIMS) is studied. The aim is to use results from experiments combined with published results to create a base for further research and development. READ MORE
