    Author : Katrin Kortsdottir; Rakel Wreland Lindström; Göran Lindbergh; Tanja Kallio; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Fuel Cell; Hydrogen Impurities; Carbon Monoxide; Carbon Dioxide; Ethene; Propene; Methane; Propane; Toluene; Electrochemically Active Surface Area; Cyclic Voltammetry; Mass Spectrometry; bränslecell; vätgasföroreningar; kolmonoxid; koldioxid; eten; propen; metan; propan; toluen; elektrokemisk aktiv yta; cyklisk voltammetri; masspektrometri; Chemical Engineering; Kemiteknik;

    Abstract : The proton exchange membrane fuel cell generates electricity from hydrogen and oxygen (from air) through electrocatalytic reactions in an electrochemical cell. The Pt/C catalyst, commonly used in PEM fuel cells, is very sensitive to impurities that can interact with the active catalyst sites and limit fuel cell performance. READ MORE

  2. 2. The role of deep hydrocarbons in the global hydrocarbon budget

    Author : Daniil Kudryavtsev; Vladimir Kutcherov; Kostya Trachenko; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Hydrocarbons; non-methane volatile hydrocarbons; carbon dioxide; methane; ethane; propane; butane; global warming; diamond-anvil cells; Raman spectroscopy; high pressure; high temperature; phase transition; Energy Technology; Energiteknik;

    Abstract : Nowadays, the issue of global warming and related environmental problems got widespread awareness among scientific society, politics, the industry as well as it has affected our everyday life. The reason for such a negative impact on the atmosphere is attributed mainly to human activities. READ MORE

  3. 3. A Study of Propane and Propene Ammoxidation over Antimony-Vanadium-Oxide Catalysts at Steady-State and Transient Conditions

    Author : Roland Nilsson; Avdelningen för kemiteknik; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Kemiteknik och kemisk teknologi; Chemical technology and engineering; oxidation; Ammoxidation; propane; propene; propylene; catalysis; transient response; antimony vanadium oxides;

    Abstract : Propane ammoxidation catalysts of differing Sb/V ratio and consisting of differing amounts of the V2O5, alpha-Sb2O4, and Sb0.92V0.92O4 phases were prepared. In the first paper, the structure of Sb0. READ MORE

  4. 4. Selective oxidation over mixed oxide catalysts

    Author : Robert Häggblad; Avdelningen för kemiteknik; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; propane; catalysis; Selective oxidation; transition metal oxides; vanadium; molybdenum; methanol oxidation; ammoxidation; propene; acrylonitrile; formaldehyde;

    Abstract : Since the metal oxide catalysts used in many chemical processes show very high selectivity for the products aimed at, both today and in the future, they play a key role in the environmentally and economically sustainable production of chemical intermediates. Two processes of this sort have been studied in the thesis: the ammoxidation of propane and propene over a Mo-V-Nb-Te-oxide catalyst and the selective oxidation of methanol over vanadium-based catalysts.
