2. Spatial and temporal aspects of intense attosecond pulses for pump-probe experiments
Abstract : Nuclear and electronic dynamics in atoms and molecules are the foundation of many physical processes and chemical reactions. Often, these dynamics take place on timescales so much shorter than those commonly encountered that they are called ultrafast. READ MORE

3. Choreography of a proton pump : Studies of charge-transfer reactions in cytochrome c oxidase
Abstract : In the last step of cellular respiration, electrons from metabolites are transferred to molecular oxygen, mediated by the enzyme complexes of the respiratory chain. Some of these enzyme complexes couple these redox reactions to formation of an electrochemical proton gradient across the cell membrane. The proton gradient is used e.g. READ MORE

4. Efficiency of building related pump and fan operation - Application and system solutions
Abstract : The electric energy use in Swedish non-industrial buildings is 71 TWh per year out of which 30 TWh per year is used for the operation of technical systems. A significant part of those 30 TWh/year is used for pump and fan operation. The Swedish parliament decided in 2009 on a national energy and climate plan. READ MORE

5. Constructing and Commissioning HELIOS – A High Harmonic Generation Source for Pump-Probe Measurements with sub 50 fs Temporal Resolution : The Development of Experimental Equipment for Extreme Ultraviolet Spectroscopy
Abstract : This thesis presents HELIOS, an in-house laboratory for time-resolved pump-probe spectroscopy with extreme-ultraviolet (XUV) probe radiation. A wide span of pump wavelengths can be generated using commercial laser equipment while XUV probe radiation is generated via a high harmonic generation process in a noble gas delivering probe photons with energies between 20 eV and 72 eV.
