  1. 1. The Theory of Polynomial Functors

    Author : Qimh Xantcha; Torsten Ekedahl; Vincent Franjou; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; numerical ring; polynomial map; strict polynomial map; numerical map; polynomial functor; strict polynomial functor; numerical functor; maze; multi-set; multation; Algebra and geometry; Algebra och geometri; matematik; Mathematics;

    Abstract : Polynomial functors were introduced by Professors Eilenberg and Mac Lane in 1954, who used them to study certain homology rings. Strict polynomial functors were invented by Professors Friedlander and Suslin in 1997, in order to develop the theory of group schemes. READ MORE

  2. 2. Centra of Quiver Algebras

    Author : Elin Gawell; Christian Gottlieb; Qimh Xantcha; Jan Snellman; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; quiver; algebra; commutativity ideal; anti-commutativity ideal; non-commutative; partly commutative; partly anti-commutative; center; Koszul algebra; finitely generated; graded center; Hochschild cohomology; support variety; associative algebra; matematik; Mathematics;

    Abstract : A partly (anti-)commutative quiver algebra is a quiver algebra bound by an (anti-)commutativity ideal, that is, a quadratic ideal generated by monomials and (anti-)commutativity relations. We give a combinatorial description of the ideals and the associated generator graphs, from which one can quickly determine if the ideal is admissible or not. READ MORE
